The Hits Just Keep on Coming

Not too much to report today except that I weighed in at 203 this morning.  That is a 1.6 pound loss from yesterday.  This afternoon I will try to add a few laps around the work building to my day and see if that has any effect on my weight loss.  My interim goal of getting under 200 is so close.  Mentally I find myself struggling with the idea of wanting to eat as some kind of reward to myself.  Talk about counter productive!

Food is fuel for the body, I know that.  But it is also something that I feel should be enjoyed.  Finding balance between the two is difficult for me.

Once again I want to toss out there that whole raw almonds seem to really be helping me.  Here I am on phase 1 and doing well losing weight and I am eating a few almonds every day.  They offer something tangible for me to sink my teeth into.  They taste great and they are helping me stave off the desire to eat things like tortilla chips that Michele has in the house.  If you are struggling with phase 1 then I recommend you give them a try.

I've not yet done this, but my friend Terri told me that you can flip the fat/protein ratio of almonds by soaking them overnight and then putting them in a dehydrator or roasting them.  I'm looking for a small/inexpensive dehydrator so I can give that a try.

  1. I lost another 2.2 lbs today! Now I am just 3 short pounds away from being in a new weight decade, lol. I am DYING to get there. At my lowest on P4 I was just 1 pound away, the holidays did me in and I gained 4 pounds. Then came the loading.....But I am VERY hopeful that by the end of the week I will be in that new category!! With 4 days, I sure hope to lose 3 lbs!

  2. That is awesome Terri! Congratulations. I think we will both be reaching those goals within the next few days. This is so easy, I don't know why everyone doesn't do it.
